About Carrabelle IGA

Family owned, operated and community based is the philosophy that drives the staff of Carrabelle IGA. Originally named Gulfside IGA, the store was opened by Mike Willis in 1972. Our father Harvey Boris who started Frenvey INC in 1975 bought the IGA store in 1994 and soon changing the name to Carrabelle IGA. A devastating fire in 2001 completely destroyed the store, but it was rebuilt with a Grand Re-Opening in 2002.

In 2002, Mr. Boris retired turning over the business to his sons Mike and Mark Boris who 21 years later, continue to run the business. For the Boris Family, its more than offering a clean, well-stocked store for their customers, we believe in respect and empowerment for our employees. We treat them like family and that is what creates the best customer experience!
